About Pnima
A Jerusalem Kehilla for Soulful Living
Pnima is a Torah-centered kehilla in the heart of Jerusalem, dedicated to fostering an open-hearted community committed to the generational call of "Lashuv Habaita"—returning home not only physically, but spiritually, with clarity and purpose.
Built upon three foundational pillars—heartfelt and uplifting tefillah, the soulful study of Torah, and close-knit communal life—Pnima aspires to be both a sanctuary and a home: a place where individuals and families feel inspired, supported, and uplifted in their Avodat Hashem. Alongside our Shabbat tefillot, we host diverse Torah opportunities for men and women, youth programs, and meaningful family gatherings—each designed to bring Torah to life and life into Torah.
Pnima was founded by Rav Ben de Toledo and Rav Yonatan Attias, whose years of learning together as chevrutot gave rise to a shared dream—one that, with the blessing of Rav Shlomo Katz, seeks to bring to Jerusalem a model of community life inspired by the spiritual warmth and vitality of Shirat David in Efrat. What began as intimate gatherings and musical tefillot has since blossomed into a flourishing community.
Rooted in Katamon yet reaching far beyond it, Pnima shares teachings, music, and experiences that bring people together—connecting hearts across Israel and around the world, and inspiring a life more deeply attuned to Torah, to one another, and to the Divine.

Rav Ben de Toledo
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ben de Toledo’s journey has been shaped by a love of Torah, community, and connection. He earned degrees in Sociology from Columbia University and Jewish History from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and studied at the Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School, where he met his wife, Yael. Together, they have served Jewish communities across Israel, the United States, and the UAE, including their time as the founding rabbinic couple in residence at the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi. Ben was part of the inaugural cohort of Rav Shlomo Katz’s Machon Zimrat Ha’aretz and is now completing his semicha in the Mizrachi Musmachim program. At the heart of his work is a passion for teaching, building community, and creating a warm, welcoming space for all.

Rav Yonatan Attias
Yonatan Attias is a Jerusalem-based musician and Torah teacher. He leads NURIEL, a dynamic Jerusalem-based music group, and is a core musician for The Elevation Project, creating soundscapes for meditative experiences worldwide. After his IDF service, Yonatan studied Pnimiut and Chassidut with various teachers including Rav Avraham Sutton while working as a Design Director at an Israeli UI/UX agency. He now fully focuses on Torah learning, uplifting musical experiences, and community building. An alum of Machon Zimrat Haaretz (under Rav Shlomo Katz), he is currently completing rabbinic smicha through Mizrachi’s Musmachim program. Through Torah, music, and meaningful experiences, Yonatan seeks to inspire growth, unity, and a deeper connection to Hashem.
